| Children Flying Unattended |
Friday, August 24, 2001
| If your child is flying unattendedn, tell him/her what to expect during the flight.
They should know basic things such as where in the plane they will sit, how long the flight will be, and who will pick them up. |

| Marking your luggage |
Wednesday, August 15, 2001
| Some people worry about home security while they are away and don't like to write their home address on luggage tags. Here's an interesting idea: mark only your email address on your luggage tag! You'll still be notified of found luggage, without displaying the fact that your home is empty. |

| Mediations |
Friday, August 10, 2001
| When flying, carry your medication in your carry-on bag. It's less likely to be lost than in checked luggage and if your medication is temperature-sensitive, it is also less likely to be damaged. |

Monday, July 30, 2001

| Make photocopies of your I.D., traveller's cheques and passport before you travel. It makes things a lot easier, in case of loss or theft. |

| Ask First |
Thursday, May 24, 2001
| When travelling somewhere new, I can’t help but take rolls and rolls of photos. But, when taking pictures of local people, ask first. This will avoid possible conflicts because: (1) not everyone likes having their picture taken, and (2) for some people it’s a major cultural taboo. |

Wednesday, May 02, 2001
| If you are travelling out of the country with your child, without your spouse, be on the safe side and bring a letter of consent from the other parent. You may need it prior to crossing certain borders. |
